Currently, Dr. Hussein serves in leadership roles related to rankings and accreditation at both Gulf University (Bahrain) and Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (Saudi Arabia), where he contributes to comprehensive ranking strategies, data reporting, and international benchmarking.
Role and Responsibilities
As Head of the Accreditation & Ranking Unit at Gulf University, and a key member of the University Ranking Department at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dr. Hussein’s responsibilities include:
Coordinating university participation in international ranking systems (e.g., QS, THE, UI GreenMetric, and Scimago)
Aligning institutional goals with ranking performance indicators
Collecting and validating academic and research data for ranking submissions
Developing strategies to improve university visibility, research impact, and academic reputation
Engaging with faculty and leadership to implement ranking-driven performance improvement plans
Conducting training and awareness programs on ranking methodologies
