A Note from Associate Professor (Finance)

Finance is not just about numbers—it’s about understanding the stories behind them. Whether in a classroom or a boardroom, my mission is to help learners unlock the power of financial knowledge, make smarter decisions, lead with confidence, and create lasting impact. Training and learning are a lifelong investment, and I’m honored to guide you on that journey.

Perspectives on University Rankings

University rankings are more than just ranks—they reflect global trends, institutional strategies, and the evolving priorities of higher education. In my work, I delve into the methodologies behind these rankings, unpack the narratives they convey, and assess their real-world impact on students, institutions, and policymakers. I also develop in-depth reports that analyze the criteria and indicators used across various ranking systems.

To provide a more holistic view, I classify university rankings into three core categories: Academic Rankings, Digital Rankings, and Social Media Rankings. Each offers a distinct lens for evaluating institutional performance. No single ranking can capture the full complexity or unique strengths of a university. That’s why building a comprehensive ranking profile—one that reflects visibility and excellence across all dimensions—is far more valuable. Such a profile not only enhances institutional reputation but also supports strategic planning and strengthens stakeholder engagement.
